Super Mario World

Adventuring through Dinosaur Land

Super Mario World, the best SNES Adventure there is. 96 exits, and you’ve traveled all of Dinosaur Land.

I may be addicted to the Y button, but it makes running through the various worlds all the more adventurous. Rarely is the Y button let up. A spin jump here or there, but a regular jump gets the job done. Yoshi makes traveling through the levels more enjoyable, especially when it’s a non-green rideable friend.

YOshi’s Island

Mario starts out on Yoshi’s Island, on his quest to save Princess Peach. There are four levels plus the castle to get through. Yellow blocks are found here, where you can run through screen of coins before releasing all the yellow blocks throughout Dinosaur Land.

donut plains

After sweeping through Yoshi’s Island, made it to Donut Plains. There are many levels with two exits, and it’s our first chance to make it to Star Road. Do we adventure directly to Bowser’s castle, or take the scenic route?

vanilla dome

Nothing is vanilla in Super Mario World! Well, except this dome? Some water levels, high-flying levels, and a way not only to Star Road, but to a long bridge, and also to Castle 3 (or take the bridge directly to Castle 4?).
